Great Fun in the Big Apple
by Plaza Travel Consultant, Evaeon Asiatico
It's been about 5 years since I've been back to New York and I'm so glad I got
the opportunity to go again. I stayed at the Benjamin, not a large hotel, but
very nice – more of a boutique hotel. Rooms have king beds - no double beds –
and a rollaway can be requested. The hotel accommodates the business traveler
with a complete working desk that includes high speed internet access, fax,
scanner, copier and printer...it has a lounge located at the bottom of the grand
staircase and the hotel is located at the corner of Lexington and 50th, quite
central to Times Square and theater districts. Also took a tour of the city with
Manhattan Tours. This particular company is not like most larger tour companies
that make you feel lost in the crowd! The owner, Stephen, books smaller groups
so you feel the personal unrushed service! Good prices…great tours. Worth
checking out on your next visit to the Big Apple! Quite memorable was the visit
to "Ground Zero"...and I can't forget the Village for shopping where, thanks to
Gary Stevens, I delightfully added 2 new pairs of shoes to my collection of 300!
