"I think it was the second time I was in Rome that I happened to be reading Angels and Demons. I hadn’t planned it, but it was really cool to be in the same city in which the book was set. The night after I toured the Vatican, I read about Langdon (the main character) running through the same hallways that I had just explored. I had this experience numerous times throughout the book. One of the more gripping chapters takes place in the Piazza Navona, at the Fountain of the Four Rivers, and describes the meaning of the fountain in great detail. That really added to my experience when I visited that exact spot the next day."

• The House Called Mbabati by Samantha Ford
"After, I traveled to South Africa I read the book The House Called Mbabati and fell in love with it. It takes place in Cape Town, Paris and Kenya. It was fun to read about places I had just traveled to and experienced. It has stirred a fire in me to go back to Kenya and experience more of a land I love. The story is fiction, but the setting is in the magnificent landscape of the African Bush."

"Breakfast at the Beach House Hotel takes place on Florida’s seaside, where two women decide to turn an old historic estate into a small upscale hotel. The two main characters are women who are actively involved in taking care of all their guests, help plan destination weddings, and become like family with everyone who stays. This was a great book that will make you want to experience a unique, small boutique hotel."
