Cruising Is Back!

As we all know, the last couple of years have been full of continual change. However, 2022 proved to be a redemptive year for the travel industry, and especially cruises. As someone who has been in the business for over forty years, I’m blessed to see the cruising industry not only as a travel advisor, but also as a passenger aboard cruises.

As the cruise industry has adjusted to the safety and health of guests, there is no doubt that there is a positive return with an ever-increasing confidence in cruise lines, staff, and the cleanliness of the ships. Traveling to Europe this summer I was able to experience a river cruise on the Danube and seeing the excitement of the passengers and crew was amazing. I also had the opportunity to cruise to Alaska and witness how that destination is back even stronger.

As we begin a new year, I am pleased by the comments of clients and passengers who express that cruise lines are taking reasonable and reassuring precautions in cleanliness all while not disrupting the enjoyment of the cruise. The positive feedback on the current cruising experience is very encouraging.

With many cruise lines relaxing health protocols and testing requirements, this is also creating a surge in bookings. People are ready to travel and see new places. With some ships already sold out for 2023, this is looking to be a robust year. Traveling is back and I’m so excited to be able to help clients enjoy the beauty of this world through cruising.
