Back in October, I had the incredible opportunity to host a Seabourn cruise aboard Seabourn Ovation. It was a fantastic 7-night journey that kicked off in Rome and took us to some amazing places like Portofino, Marseilles, Corsica, St. Tropez, Palamós, and finally, the bustling city of Barcelona. I loved St. Tropez. It was truly a gem of a city – completely walkable with tree-lined streets, boutique shops, and beautiful restaurants and cafes. Not to mention all the fancy yachts! There was plenty of time to explore, relax, and even have a lovely lunch in a local park. It was the perfect day.

But what blew me away was the whole experience onboard. By day two, the crew knew many of us by name and had a knack for remembering our favorite foods and drinks. It was like being with family. I sailed in a Veranda Suite (Seabourn’s fleet consists of all-suite ships), which was spacious, comfortable, and absolutely inviting. And let's not forget the public spaces, especially the relaxation lounge with those five hot beds overlooking the sea. It became my little oasis for catching up on work emails, diving into a good book, and even stealing a quick nap.

One of the things that truly captivated my heart about Seabourn was the ship's size. It might not have boasted the multitude of restaurants, Broadway-style shows, or entertainment venues you find on larger cruise ships, but it offered something I didn't even know I craved – a peaceful, intimate oasis on the sea. With fewer than 600 guests on board, exploring the charming ports was an absolute breeze. The embarkation and disembarkation process were smooth, with no frustrating lines at the ports (a pet peeve of mine) and getting around the ship was effortless. It allowed me to savor every moment of the journey without feeling rushed or crowded. Seabourn truly redefined my cruise experience in the best possible way!

My Seabourn experience was so enjoyable that I've already made plans to embark on the newest of Seabourn's Expedition ships heading to Antarctica this November! It's a testament to the exceptional moments and memories I was able to create while onboard. I'd be happy to have you join me on the sailing to the White Continent.
