Happy New Year! As New Year's approaches each year, I look back on the previous year with gratitude and appreciation and look forward to next year with excitement and wonder. We have been through some very challenging times, and there are currently many concerning areas around the world, but I look to travel as a great tool to share, blend and understand more than is just within our own neighborhood.
My gratitude and appreciation reflect on the places I have traveled and the places we send clients worldwide. Many of our clients share their stories, pictures, and trip reports with us. We spend hours passionately arranging and crafting wonderful vacations and travel experiences for our clients, and we love to share in the travel experience and joy!
My excitement and wonder are for all the emerging destinations, new products, and great travel experiences that we will plan for our clients. Travel that will bring excitement and new experiences! Whether it’s relaxing, exploring, learning, connecting with locals or so many other benefits of travel, anyone who travels will come back enhanced, relaxed, or excited. Where do you want to go in 2024?
In 2023 there were a number of local and global events that caused travelers to pull back for a moment or change destinations. It seems that after years of the pandemic we have become more flexible, more understanding that things can change, and we accept these changes in travel and continue. Of course, travel to some amazing closer-to-home destinations – Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean – is still strong. We are also planning many trips to Africa and Southeast Asia, and cruises continue to be in high demand. We are booking cruises as far out as 2026 to ensure our clients get the sailing and cabin they want.
In this newsletter you’ll read trip reports from some of our team’s recent travels. Take a few minutes to read through them and enjoy our photography skills as we try to capture the essence of the location. However, that being said, no picture can capture exactly what it’s like in a destination. Use these trip reports as inspiration for your next trip, the next thing to check off your bucket list, or planning something in the future to look forward to.
